Meet some the All-Stars!

I think most everyone is familiar with this face! Mr. Mike Brogden. I like to call him Mikey. He is one of our biggest all-stars. One of PGUMC's most faithful volunteers. And has been a volunteer for many years. He was there my very first youth group. Most of all he is a good friend and a great lunch buddy! 

Some of the facts about Mike... 

Mike when he was 16 years old was injured in a very serious car accident. He died. And the doctors brought him back to life. And I am so grateful! Mike brings passion and life to the youth group. He loves the youth and the youth love him. 

Mike is a never stop servant kind of guy. Always finding ways to help you succeed. If something needs to be done Mike is there to help. He is a no sidelines guy. Always talking and playing with youth and keeping them straight. 

One of the things that I love about Mike's personality is his positivity. He is always vibrant and encouraging. He is one of God's all stars! And I am so grateful I get serve alongside this man! 

Confirmation 2014

I couldn't be more excited to journey alongside these five confirmands. I begin every confirmation class by asking "why are you here?". Awkward silence in-sues. And then the honest truth comes out my parents made me. There it is. But by the end of confirmation my hope is that they will realize that faith matters. And that will all carry with them a new awareness of "this is why I am here."
