Pilgrimage and Upcoming Events

Pilgrimage was great this year. The youth had a ton of fun. At all four sessions, rock climbing, or wherever we were. I can't wait for Pilgrimage 2015. The youth really loved the sermon givers this year The Skit Guys. They had all 5,000+ youth in The Crown laughing. Pictures to come.
Thanks to Richard, Betsy, and Andrea for chaperoning the youth and taking us on this trip that we love every year. It is a lot of work to keep up with eleven youth. Hopefully next year even more youth will be joining us.
For all Youth information and upcoming events please go to pgyouthwork.org
Also we are doing a hoodie order. You can sign up at the website. They are $15, each.

hold fast to what is GOOD

Words could not express what these four and half years have meant to me. To be honest I am trying to hold it together...but I am not doing a very good job. The truth is I am going to miss Pleasant Green very much. I am especially going to miss the youth. My love overflows for each and everyone of them.

Before Jesus transitions from his life to the cross he call his disciples his "friends." Yes he was their leader and they were his followers but that wasn't the fullness of their relationship. They were much more. They were friends. I leave here with friends. Friends who I will care about for the rest of my life.

Parents I want to say that you are best parents a youth ministry can have. You have encouraged me and affirmed me so many times. I can't thank you enough. Blessings be upon you!

Yesterday I shared with the youth a funny video called "Good News" featured on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-BTulyEGZs

Jesus has come to bring good news to us his people. In the midst of a seemingly dark world. When we were at our worst God brought us good news. Paul in Romans says, "hold fast to what is good." Hold good things close to your heart and don't let them go.

I celebrate the good that I have had the privilege to witness and be apart of these past few years. I also hold the "good" that is to come.

Your Friend,
Jason

Official pick up time!

3:30p. Please be on time. Just come!  We are on our way.

Friday!

We are up and ready to accomplish the day. First building clean up then we depart. We will stop for lunch along the way. I will post here what time we will be back. Most likely by 4p if not earlier.

A few things will really help me (the adult leaders are exhausted and tired).

1. Don't leave or try to leave before the van is cleaned
2. Don't be late picking up.
3. If possible can a parent wait with youth waiting to pick up because I have to return the uhaul.

Looking forward to a safe trip home!
On our way!

Thursday!

Finishing out Thursday has been good! Our youth have realized te big connection between serving others and realizing how much thy are worth to Jesus. So blessed to see them grow in to who God is calling them to be. AMEN.

So excited to give our best on our last day! The youth have been writing encouraging notes to one another through out this week. I thought about my first mission trip 17 years ago. I still have the encouraging notes others wrote me. Words change us. And we have been changed for the good this week!

Looking forward to making memories today!

Below Will and Ryan serving food. They were asked to do it. They just stepped in!
Playing basketball! Finally today the weather feels great!
