What we will be doing!
We are excited about the week. We will e splitting into two groups. One group will be working with Outrageous Sports Camp and the other with boys and girls club. Looking for the great thing God will do this week.
Pray for us. Pray that God will help us through our nervousness. Pray that we will live into our ministry well.
More to come! Now sleep!
We are here!
Getting settled in! It is a sea of air mattresses and sleeping bags. On another note just realized two of our air mattresses and sleeping bags got stolen last night out of the van. Good news is that there is a walmart near. Finding out our teams for the week soon and then dinner.
Looking forward!
As I read psalm 25 this morning the words "teach me" stuck out. Every moment is a teachable moment. It is a moment where our experiences can change and shape us. Literally they can change our lives. Every mission trip I go on I think of my first time on a mission trip. It taught me and changed me. Looking forward to God working great things in the life of PGUMC YOUTH.

Mission trip
I am very excited about Charleston, West Virginia! I hope you are as well. There are still unknowns with all the information we might have about the trip.
Not bad unknowns but good ones.
We can't prepare for all the good moments that will come out of this trip. The lives that will be changed through this experience. The relationships that will be built through this experience. I can't wait for the stories to unfold!
Our theme for our mission trips this summer is 'Going gLocal.' It is an intentional reminder that we are all partakers in mission together. We might be in different places in the country and world but we all serve the same purpose.
Please commit to praying for us and staying connected this week! Pray for big moments. Pray that we might be empowered to do even more locally through this experience.
Blessings,
Jason

Meet some the All-Stars!
I think most everyone is familiar with this face! Mr. Mike Brogden. I like to call him Mikey. He is one of our biggest all-stars. One of PGUMC's most faithful volunteers. And has been a volunteer for many years. He was there my very first youth group. Most of all he is a good friend and a great lunch buddy!
Some of the facts about Mike...
Mike when he was 16 years old was injured in a very serious car accident. He died. And the doctors brought him back to life. And I am so grateful! Mike brings passion and life to the youth group. He loves the youth and the youth love him.
Mike is a never stop servant kind of guy. Always finding ways to help you succeed. If something needs to be done Mike is there to help. He is a no sidelines guy. Always talking and playing with youth and keeping them straight.
One of the things that I love about Mike's personality is his positivity. He is always vibrant and encouraging. He is one of God's all stars! And I am so grateful I get serve alongside this man!
